After the interm presentation I sat down and re-assessed my idea. i figured that my goal was a little to much work to fit into the time frame and the idea didn't fit nicely with the brief.
So decided to start off simple and make a circle follow me around the screen, simple enough. It worked but it just wasn't fluid enough. i did a little experimenting and for the "dist" operator! This helped me create a smooth following motion, that seems to chace rather than follow.
I messed around with arrays and selecting them for a bit, but not much came out of it except this.

The next little step was to make the ball look more like a ball. So I added a shadow, bounce effect a little sound and variating speend and this worked quite nicely.

Then the focus went to more sound. I made the different sound play on different shape and created loads of test files for dragging shape and sound. such an effort.
Then to finish off I wanted to abstract the whole experience so I removed the background and added some tranparency to give a nice layered effect.
Here is the final product....
